چکیده

of Restenosis To the Editor: We would like to point out several issues related to citations of the scientific literature in an article by Yamasaki et al.1 We would like to emphasize that quinoxalines were the first compounds showing excellent efficacy in inhibiting balloon injury–induced stenosis in pigs and rats. Reference 20 in the article by Yamasaki et al, which describes this study, is not quoted correctly, as it omits most of the authors of this pioneering study. The accurate reference is the second citation in the reference section of this letter.2 The efficacy of a quinoxaline in rats is described in the study by Fishbein et al.3 Reference 25, which cites quinoxalines as being synthesized by Muranaka et al,4 is actually wrong. This reference describes indolinones, the very compounds Yamasaki et al1 describe in their own study. Quinoxalines were first described in the study by Kovalenko,5 which should have been quoted instead of Reference 25, crediting the quinoxalines as selective and potent plateletderived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) kinase inhibitors.

Aqua mediated SnO2 nanoparticles: A recyclable and benign catalyst for the synthesis of Quinoxalines

An efficient and mild synthesis of quinoxalines in cludingcyclo-condensation of 1, 2-phenylenediamine and 1, 2-diketonesin the presence of1mol% catalytic amount of SnO2 nanoparticles (1 mol%) in water at room temperature is established. On the whole, this study introduced at this point is substantial in terms of using water as solvent, low reaction time (5 to 10 minutes), high yields...

New and Efficient Rout for One Pot Synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-b] quinoxalines

Acenaphtho derivatives have been reported as antitumor agents. So, the reaction of acenaphthylene-1,2-dione with 3,4-diaminobenzenethiol, and then with the alkyl chloride derivatives for the synthesis of acenaphtho [1,2-b] quinoxalines are reviewed. Excellent yields of the products, short reaction times and simple work-up are attractive features of this suitable protocol.

Transition metal free hydrolysis/cyclization strategy in a single pot: synthesis of fused furo N-heterocycles of pharmacological interest.

A transition metal free tandem two-step strategy has been developed involving hydrolysis of 2-chloro-3-alkynyl quinoxalines/pyrazines followed by in situ cyclization of the corresponding 2-hydroxy-3-alkynyl intermediates in a single pot leading to fused furo N-heterocycles as potential inhibitors of sirtuins. A representative compound showed promising pharmacological properties in vitro and in ...

Overview of Intracoronary Brachytherapy for in-Stent Restenosis of a Drug-Eluting Stent

Percutaneous coronary intervention with stenting is considered recently as the most common procedure for the treatment of symptomatic coronary. The article reviewed 41 studies published during 1997-2019 on intracoronary brachytherapy for in-stent restenosis of a drug-eluting stent. Intracoronary radiation therapy was finally confirmed in the setting of in-stent restenosis using as adjunctive th...

Efficient and Practical Protocol for the Synthesis of Pyridopyrazines, Pyrazines and Quinoxalines Catalyzed by La(OAc)3 in Water

La(OAc)3 has been used as an efficient catalytic system for the synthesis of quinoxalines. This method provides several advantages over methods that are currently employed such as a simple work-up, mild reaction conditions, good to excellent yields, and a process to recover and reuse the catalyst for five cycles with consistent activity.
